Huh…never heard this before. I just learned Ophelia, and Atlantic City, I’m gonna have to learn this next cause that’s some groovin stuff there.!

wow, that was great. And I didn't even know that Chuck Berry song. Levon and the band, going back to their roots. Though it's way too late for a do over, its clear by this version of The Band that the original quintet retired too soon. Wish they could've done the annual days-long residencies at selected, top-notch performance halls like the Allman Brothers did at the Beacon.

I am a singing drummer. We are a rare breed. The fact that we are out there means drummers can provide more and makes the band unique

The coolest of them all. if you had to explain to a young musician why feel is so important, , look no further

I was looking for an old band from WIndsor Canada called the Dry Heaves... But this is great too.

I'll take the Band over The Beatles,The Stones ,U2 or Pink Floyd or any rest of the rest of them from the same side of the Ocean that I was born on .For me Rick Danko andLevon Helm are in a category of one.

Dave Matthews does an excellent version of this live. Such amazing music. The Band forever!!!

I’ve never drummed in my life, but it looks hard as hell. I had to go watch some stuff from the Last waltz after watching this. Rest in Peace Levon Helm.

I only saw the band once way back about '62 or so after they left Hawkins. It was at a nightclub called the Purple Onion a few miles northwest of Brampton Ont. Unfortunately a fight broke out just as we arrived, it got nasty and we left when it was apparent the band wasn't going on.

Could listen to just him singing and drumming, nothing else, for hours.

This was way after their split and a few years before Richard lost his way permanently. Beautiful people Great singers and musicians. Loved them all including Robbie ❤

Funny, I always thought is was "I'm going to the beauty shop and get my hair sawed". Sunny Boy version. James Cotton did a great cover of it.

I was at this concert. Had seat for 30 something row. Some girls were in our seats and wouldn't leave. So we sat in aisle and then Andy Frain usher came up to us - what are doing/ Kick the ladies out of our seats. He said - come with me. put us in 7th row seat center. So good - so cool. And great concert.

Levon looks good and in shape here, not like his years on the sofa in heroin-sleep.

I wonder whether Dylan was there. He played it on Letterman the following year.

As unintelligable and as murky as this is, I believe it is the best footage we have of Tour '74 that shows all of the musicians in action (though Garth Hudson is not visible). Promoter Bill Graham wanted to film one of the shows, Madison Square Garden I think it was, but Dylan said no. What a historical tragedy.

Multi talented musicians! Truly one of a kind! Only Garth remains but they will all live on thanks to modern technology!
